I just wanted to remind everyone about our upcoming meeting Tuesday Aug 3rd at 7pm at SGHS Conference rm 1. Remember to always check the calandar outside the door incase there is a change of rooms at the last minute.
There have been a lot of changes in the last several months with GA Coast Surgical and to meet certain Center of Excellence requirements, there will be some changes in the meetings.
After this meeting, we will be having only one meeting a month (see schedule below). This will be a mixed bariatric support group meeting and will be on the 2nd Monday of each month. We want to have a name for our group, since this will be a group for all of us. Please bring any ideas you have for a group name.
Janet, Terry and I will still be very much involved in the groups but the topics will be presented by Kathleen Kent and/or Dr Betsy. We hope to be able to provide several months of topics in advance.
I am excited about the new changes and hope everyone will be at our meeting on Aug 3rd when we will have an open meeting to discuss any questions or concerns you have. This is and will always be the patient's support group. Please notice the calandar below ..yes we do have 2 meetings in August....Tuesday the 3rd (last official lapband) and Monday the 9th (first official new meeting).
I hope if you have not been to a meeting in a while and need support that you will try to attend a meeting. If you are doing great and don't need support maybe you could give support to someone that does. Come and meet others and share your experience.
