Laura McClendon

Laura joined Georgia Coast Surgical in September of 2004 after 26 years of service at Southeast Georgia Health System. Laura is the patient liaison between the Practice and the hospital providing our patients with continuity of care, whether it is scheduling surgery, laboratory testing, or admissions. She is also the patient liaison for all of our Psychological and Nutritional scheduling.

Laura has three children and seven grandchildren that she loves spending time with. She belongs to First Jordan Grove Baptist Church and sings in the church choir.

Patty Bergeron

Patty joined the Practice in November of 2004, moving to the Golden Isles from West Virginia after retiring as a childrens librarian. Patty has her undergraduate degree in History and Master’s degree in Library Science. Patty keeps the office running smoothly with her systematic methods of organization. Patty enjoys nature, needle arts and crafts, along with music and singing in her spare time.

Shelley Wheeler

Shelley joined Georgia Coast Surgical in July 2007 after 13 years of medical insurance and billing experience. She is the Insurance Specialist for the practice, verifying benefits and educating patients on the guidelines of their policies. Shelley also prepares statements and explains costs to our patients. Shelley was born and raised in Glynn County and has a sincere understanding of the patients and their needs

She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and has a penchant for computer games.

Ami Bridges

Ami joined the practice in October of 2007 as the Marketing Director of Georgia Coast Surgical. She has a BS in Marketing and Management from Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, Georgia. Ami is also a lap-band patient, having completed her surgery in September of 2006. She is able to relate to the patients and to those who are looking to end their battle with obesity.
